Once a child is potty-trained, he/she moves into the preschool/pre-k room. Following the High Reach Learning Curriculum, children are encouraged to have fun with learning.
In the preschool/pre-k room, there are various structured teacher-directed activities along with free-choice centers. Free-choice centers include:
- Language and library
- Sensory (sand/water play)
- Art
- Music
- Dramatic play
- Math and manipulatives
- Science
- Outdoor exploration
Weather-permitting, playground time is included daily, encouraging children to develop their gross motor skills on developmentally appropriate equipment.
Our summer program also includes a variety of field trips, extending the opportunity for children to get out and explore their world.
Our preschool/pre-k program is designed so that each child develops the necessary skills and understanding to succeed both academically and socially in kindergarten.
